Chateau La Couranconne Rasteau

Situated on a stoney terroir where the main souther grape varieties grow side by side. This rich wine reflects the true spirit of Cote du Rhone Cru. A luscious blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre. 

Deep purple in colour with expressive aromas of over-ripened blackberries and blueberries with subtle spicy notes. The palate delivers opulent fruity notes with textures that combine the intensity and persistence, with deliciously velvety tannins on the finish. Try with poultry, duck breast, mushroom omelet and a variety of cheeses.

With just 3 hectors of vines in Rasteau, Chateau la Courançonne are small producers making great wine. Following 12 generations in the Meffre family it was bought in 2019 by Alain Aubert who continues the small family grower tradition.
