Rising River Shiraz

The fruit is harvested from selected vineyards across the Western Cape. The grapes are fermented in stainless steel with daily punching down for maximum extraction of colour and tannins. The wine is matured in old French oak barrels for 12 months before bottling.

Aromas of of black pepper, cedar and ripe black fruits. The palate is rich with blackberry, blackcurrant and violet hints. Lovely smooth, soft tannins backed up with balancing, refreshing acidity. Try with venison, barbecued and grilled meats, aubergine or mushroom dishes.

The Rising River Wines are inspired by the Franschhoek River that flows through the Franschhoek Valley, encompassing the grand history of its surroundings and celebrating grapes sourced across quality vineyards across the Western Cape. Produced as a diffusion line to the principle Rickety Bridge range, winemaking is overseen by Mari Kotzé.
