Solevari Reserve Feteasca Regala

Solevari Feteasca Regala comes from selected plots of the vineyard with fractured Limestone and iron oxide rich loams, clay soils. These are the areas known to produce better grapes. The grapes are given an extended ripening period to allow development of more intense flavour.

Golden yellow with greenish hues and clear brightness. Mineral notes, lightly accented by black locust blossom and subtle hints of ripe white fruits in the background - peaches, pears, and pineapple. Lively acidity with elegance, a marked mineral character, good balance, and a medium-length finish. Try with Caprese salad, chicken or turkey salads, Asian dishes, grilled fish, tuna steak or fruit based desserts. 

Back in 1988, three families decided to invest in a winery in Romania, starting with 650ha of slightly unloved vineyards and a rusty, formerly state-owned winery. Today, Englishman Philip Cox and his Romanian wife Elvira divide the production and commercial management between them and together have turned the Cramele Recas Estate into the most successful winery in Romania. Recas are now recognized globally for their impressive scale and breadth of fascinating wines, including natural and orange wines made from organic grapes.
