Sundown Shiraz Mourvèdre

Sourced from the Swartland’s diverse soils, mostly Malmsbury shale with loamy and
sandy layers. These grapes thrive in a climate made for winemaking: dry summers, cool breezes, and cold winters that give the vines a well-earned rest. This bold blend is 70% Shiraz from Riebeek Valley, co-fermented with 27% Mourvèdre and a splash (3%) of Viognier from Kasteelberg. 

Black cherry compote, ripened raspberries and black plums with a peppery kick on the nose. It's juicy and expressive on the palate with a balance of bold dark fruit, a touch of floral lift and a creamy texture. Try with steak, beef, lamb, barbecue, pizza or aubergine pasta dishes.
