Beschreibung
The grapes for this wine are sourced from fine Médoc gravel soils. It's a blend of 51% Cabernet Sauvignon and 49% Merlot. The 2021 vintage in this region was characterized by challenging weather, including spring frosts and a mild summer, with fine weather in late August essential for the ripening of the grapes. The wine was matured 100% in oak barrels.
A perfumed nose of blackberries, red plums, and spice. A palate of silky dark fruit, fine woody notes and gentle tannins. Try with grilled red meats, hearty stews, mushroom dishes or hard, mature cheese.
Château du Glana is located on the Route des Grands Vins along the Gironde estuary, between the villages of Beychevelle and Saint-Julien, just opposite Château Ducru-Beaucaillou. Today, it is made up of 59 hectares of vines practically in one piece. The Château du Glana vineyard is under the prestigious appellation d'Origine Contrôlée Saint-Julien.
